Three friends who worked together at PayPal Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim were thinking about what to do next after the company was sold. Around that time, dating websites were becoming very popular.👩‍❤️‍👨 So they came up with a new idea: a website where people could upload videos and meet potential partners. They launched the site on Valentine’s Day in 2005.🎉 However, no one uploaded videos. To encourage people, they even offered $20 to women to upload videos, but still, nobody did. Their project seemed to be failing. 📵☹👎 Then one day, since the website was just sitting there unused, Jawed Karim uploaded a short video he had taken at a zoo titled “Me at the Zoo” on April 23.😄🫶🐘🦓🦒🐠🦧 Unexpectedly, the video started getting views. That’s when the three friends realized that the platform would work much better as a video sharing site rather than a dating site.☝😌❤️ And that’s how the website we all use today  YouTube was born.

    On March 8, 2026, I went to Savoy Cinema with my boyfriend to watch the movie Wife. But since we arrived a little late, we couldn’t watch it. However, there was another movie starting in about half an hour, so we made a quick decision to watch Dharmayuddhaya 2, and we bought tickets for it. As we watched the story, some key scenes from Dharmayuddhaya were shown. The most special part was that the character originally played by the late and popular actor Jackson Anthony was continued in the second film by Bimal Jayakody.
